Welcome to Hoshin Budo!

Hoshin Budo is an American esoteric combat art that teaches the student to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.  Developed by Dr. Glenn J. Morris this system is designed to help one confidently handle the chaos that unfolds in a fight; as well as stress management, communication skills and growing as a human being.

We teach you advanced meditation right from the start. A student learns both ancient and modern meditation skills that awaken the body in a biological manner, helping unify body, mind and spirit as one.  Life's answers are found by looking within, not outward.

You may have read Soke Morris's books; Pathnotes of an American Ninja Master, or Shadow Strategies and want to see what Hoshin Budo is.  Wasatch Hoshin Dojo is directly linked to Soke Rob Williams, successor to the late Dr. Glenn J. Morris.

Students will learn both energetic, and physical healing knowledge to improve their life and the lives of those close to them.  Qigong (aka Chi Kung) through the Hoshin Tao Chi Kung program is the template Wasatch Hoshin Dojo uses to awaken oneself.  The main goal of Hoshin Budo is to assist the student in the awakening Greatest Kan + Li, also known as Kundalini.  As stated by Glenn Soke himself in Pathnotes, "Kundalini is part and partial to Hoshin Budo."  Awakening Kundalini is a biological process and can be achieved by anyone willing to work for it.

Hoshin Jutaijutsu is more than just fighting, it is also a way to help one become more familiar with who "they" really are as a person. This can be scary for some, acceptance of ones shadow is paramount in growing more and more as a spiritual being. Since self-exploration is the true key to personal mastery Hoshin Budo gives one the courage and knowledge needed to explore oneself, unlocking hidden levels of intelligence to see the world as it truly is. There is more to existence than what your known flimsy 5 senses send to your brain as supposed "reality."  Hoshin Budo is a true path to the top of the mountain called self-mastery.

Hoshinjutsu is a combat system teaching one to win, quickly and with the least amount of "brute" strength.
You or your opponent can weigh 110 lbs, or 310lbs. When fighting using Hoshinjutsu and our 5 Principles of Combat, body weight and strength are not factors an attacker can use against you.

Remember, the best fights are the ones that we avoid, as a smile is the most powerful weapon one can wield. It is better to make friends quickly, than have to inflict bodily and/or psychological harm upon another living thing. Be love in this world, and love will be returned to you.

If Hoshin Budo sounds like something you are interested in, we encourage you to come out and train one time free of charge.

Check out the main website, at www.hoshinbudo.com which contains more information about what Hoshin Budo is.

We ask that you contact the school here in Lehi, Utah to arrange a meet and greet.  A time and place will be set up for you to sit down and talk with Brady Sensei.  This is required before your training can begin.  See the Contact Us tab for the schools e-mail address.

A Great Starting Point

This is the first book written by Soke Rob Williams.  It is a perfect introduction to Hoshin, explaining the important things to know.  I highly suggest if you are interested in Hoshin, but not quite sure if its for you; read this book, it will clear up a lot of your questions.
